Wabasso Tackle Shop

This building has been the Wabash Tackle Shop for as long as I've been living in this area and I can't count how many times I've driven by and thought about photographing it.  Many photographers have done just that and versions of it turn up in just about every local art show.  I did manage to make a few photographs a couple of years ago and I'm glad I did because sadly, it's no longer.  The building is still there but it's empty and has lost all of it's charm.  I've processed the photo a few different ways and will probably revisit it many more times in the future.  This is my latest version.

Doe Eyes

Haven't shown one of these in a while...a little painting of one of the sweet doggies from this Monday's session at the Humane Society.

Little Ford Truck

Saw this in a parking lot by the river and had to stop and take a few photos. The owner, who was across the street enjoying happy hour, came over to talk and told me he spent the last 7 years building it. It's basically a 1932 Ford but obviously not restored to 'original' specs. It's a fun labor of love that he and his wife enjoy driving around...and with that big V/8 it can certainly hold it's own in traffic.

Through the trees

Continuing with this latest personal project of docks and piers and water is this faux oil painting of a pretty scene I came across this afternoon.
